During the height of COVID, we launched The Tempest, a digital interactive game designed to educate health care professionals about idiopathic multicentric Castleman disease (iMCD) when in-person learning wasn’t possible.
The experience began with a mysterious mailer that invited HCPs to see if they could “beat the tempest.” In the game, players navigate a simulated iMCD patient case, referencing the patient’s stats while decoding a series of clinical questions. Once they reach a diagnosis, an educational video and call-to-action guide them to learn more.
I led the design of the game’s visuals and interface, ensuring clarity, engagement, and educational impact. By combining immersive gameplay with real-world clinical learning, The Tempest transforms a complex disease into an approachable, memorable, and interactive experience for providers.
